While Lorelai Gilmore "smells snow," "I smell... FALL. It's coming. I can feeeeeel it coming."

Okay, but before we jump into fall stuff, let's recap this past summer. I haven't done any monthly recaps this past summer, so as kids as heading back to school, it's just a good time to remember the highlights. Oh! AND! Stay tuned for a GIVEAWAY at the end!

ONE || We had a baby. Miss Abby joined our family back in June! Here's a a fun little updated picture of our sweet girls.

TWO || We watched many summer storms pass through. Why Florida is called the "Sunshine State" is beyond me.

Doesn't it look like winter?? Kinda odd, huh?

THREE || We celebrated Independence Day and watched a few fireworks from our car. Dan and his buddy also volunteered to dress up for Independence Day Sunday service. He had to find white tube socks. Do you know how hard it is to find WHITE TUBE SOCKS?! Okay, so we could have gone to a soccer store, but honestly, we didn't want to spend a ton of money on something he was only going to wear once. My dad ended up finding a pair in his closet... who knew?! Haha! Anyways, what a dashing patriot. ;-) Haha. Maybe next year, I'll be convinced to dress up like Betsey Ross or Abigail Adams.

Also, I just loooove Elli's Independence Day outfit... I got it at a local consignment before she was born and I was so excited she could wear it to church this year.

FOUR || We celebrated birthdays and weddings. My cousin just got married and I was hoping we could get a super cute family picture since we were by the water...however, this is what we got. Elli did NOT want to take a picture with us and Abby was asleep in her car seat. We didn't even think to turn the car seat around so she could be part of our family picture. #familypicturefail

Overall, this summer was pretty chill as we didn't go anywhere, but a time of adjusting to a family of four! And now we are getting ready for fall...I can't wait! Pumpkin patches, pumpkin spice lattes, and pumpkin pie, here we come!

On a fun note, my friend Kristin over at The Peculiar Treasure is hosting a GIVEAWAY for her third blogiversary! Whoo hoo! I'm so excited for her! If you haven't met Kristin, check out her blog! She is so encouraging and I know you'll love her. :-) Make sure you enter her giveaway below!
